Give Reality a Chance

I share the concern that many Fire Islanders have about this show being filmed on our precious island. As the owner of FireIsland.com, I receive daily questions from the public. It’s amazing how many misconceptions are floating around out there.

I, too, fear that the drama needed to make this show a success will not accurately represent the island and just increase the misconceptions. However, I did have the opportunity to meet up with some of the film crew and found them to be unusually friendly and genuinely excited about working on such a beautiful island. I do have concerns about this situation but am willing to give ABC and the film crew a chance to show us what they are made of.
